What is the difference between a Hard Breach and Soft Breach rule?

Written by Blaze Funding Admin

A soft breach results in the closure of positions that violate the applicable rule, but the account remains active and you may continue trading when permitted.

For example, positions held past the Friday cutoff without the Weekend Hold add-on will be closed automatically. A hard breach permanently closes your account. During an assessment, this means you fail the assessment.

On a funded account, trading is terminated. Hard breaches include reaching or falling below your Daily Loss Limit or Maximum Drawdown threshold, reaching your Maximum Floating Loss limit where applicable, or violating the inactivity rule. The limits and calculations depend on your plan type.

All Blaze and Blaze Pro plans treat daily drawdown violations as hard breaches. Please refer to your plan's FAQ category for its specific rules. Payout Protector does not prevent a hard breach or allow trading to continue.

If purchased, it may allow a payout of eligible remaining profits, provided all other payout requirements and Terms and Conditions are met.
